PRIVACY NOTICE

Effective 5 September 2026

1. WHO WE ARE

This notice explains how Tenth Draft Publication (“Tenth Draft”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit 10thdraft.com, join our reader list, or send us an author enquiry. Questions about this notice can be sent to hello@10thdraft.com.

2. WHAT WE COLLECT

We collect only what each purpose needs.

  • Reader list. Your email address, the date you joined, and the confirmation that you opted in. If you take part in a vote or reply to one of our emails, we keep that response.
  • Author enquiries. Your name, email address, the details you give us about your book and yourself, and any link you choose to share. We also record the status of your enquiry as we read and respond.
  • Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use analytics tools or advertising trackers.

3. HOW WE USE IT

  • To send the reader list news about our titles, early access, and votes on extras such as art, maps and cut scenes.
  • To read, assess and respond to author enquiries, and to correspond with you about your book.
  • To keep the site secure and operating reliably.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We rely on your consent for the reader list, which you may withdraw at any time, and on our legitimate interest in running a publishing house for author enquiries and site operation.

4. WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions:

  • An email delivery provider, which sends the reader list and stores subscriber addresses.
  • A hosting provider, which serves the website and keeps server logs.
  • Productivity and storage tools we use to track and respond to author enquiries.

These providers may be located outside your country. Where that is the case, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives an appropriate level of protection. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

5. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

  • Reader list data is kept until you unsubscribe, after which it is removed from active use within 30 days.
  • Author enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last correspondence, unless a publishing agreement follows, in which case the records form part of that relationship.
  • Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes.

6. YOUR RIGHTS

Subject to applicable data protection law, you may ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, object to its processing, or receive a copy in a portable format. Every reader list email includes an unsubscribe link. To exercise any other right, email hello@10thdraft.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

7. COOKIES

The site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Any cookies or local storage used are strictly necessary for the site to function.

8. CHILDREN

The reader list and author enquiry form are intended for people aged 16 and over. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE

We may update this notice from time to time. The effective date above shows the current version. Material changes will be announced to the reader list.
